American IV: The Man Comes Around is Johnny Cash’s sixty-seventh and last studio album. November 5, 2002 saw the release of the album by American Recordings and Universal Records. Considered some of Cash’s best work towards the end of his life, it is the final album released during his lifetime and the fourth in his “American” series of albums. The book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die featured the album as well.
