Arctic Monkeys: Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not | LP | Vinyl
After the demos made the rounds and traveled around the internet and at concerts, strange things began to happen. Strange things like meeting fans at a gig in Wakefield who had come all the way from Aberdeen or further afield. When the band played the Boardwalk earlier, the entire audience sang along to “When The Sun Goes Down” – a song that hadn’t even been released yet (the band currently has only one single out).
As we all know, Arctic Monkeys’ debut album is one of the best debut albums in rock history. It combines the youthful exuberance of a band on the cusp of a long career with the melodies of an experienced songwriter. Truly one of the best and forever relevant albums in the British rock canon.
