The Iconic amplifiers, which are derived from the renowned and flagship EVH 5150III® amplifiers, produce the smouldering gain and scorching sound that Eddie Van Halen popularised.
The 5150® Iconic® Series 15-watt 1×10 combo was designed by the EVH team under the direction of renowned amp engineer James Brown. It features a 6L6 power tube that is voiced by a sophisticated, multi-stage hybrid preamp section that is supported by a pair of ECC83 tubes, giving it all the muscle you need for a practice amp in the modern era. To ensure that the pure cleans and blazing high gain tones are tight, clear, and articulate, the cabinet has a specially constructed EVH 10″ Celestion® speaker voiced especially for this preamp circuit, as well as unique interior plywood baffling for tight and improved bass response.
With two channels and additional voice on each for even greater versatility, this combo packs a punch. The Red channel’s burn button adds a fiery crunch that’s perfect for searing leads, while the Green channel has an overdrive button that allows you to choose between clean tones and higher gain.
