For both 4/4 and 3/4 violins, the Augustin 3D Adjustable Chin Rest is now available. It is made to fit the individual posture and comfort requirements of each player. This chin rest combines long-lasting construction, skin-friendly materials, and adjustability.

Features

3D Adaptability (Height, Angle, Lateral Position)

With the ability to adjust height (about 22–30 mm), side-to-side placement (±15 mm), and angular orientation (±10°), this chin rest helps musicians attain the best ergonomic fit, which is especially advantageous for those with longer necks.  

Nano-Coating of Ceramic

A hydrophobic and dirt-repellent ceramic nano-coating is applied to the surface, successfully preventing the growth of bacteria, dust, water, and other impurities.

“Hills”screws made of titanium  

These titanium screws are incredibly light and gentle on the skin. They significantly lower the possibility of allergic responses and lighten the chin rest by roughly 30 to 45% as compared to conventional ebony variants. 

Included are several base plates. 

In order to provide configuration options, the kit usually comes with two base plates: one for a more conventional left-side installation (Guarneri style) and another for placement over the tailpiece (Flesch style). 

Comfort-Oriented Design 

Longer practice or performance sessions are made more comfortable by the chin rest’s smooth, softly curved surface, which reduces friction and skin irritation.  

Dermatological Examination 

Even for people with sensitivities, the materials and coatings used are safe to come into contact with the skin and are made to minimise irritation.
