Gretsch G2622 Streamliner Center Block with V-Stoptail – Affordable Rock and Roll Machine

The Gretsch G2622 Streamliner Center Block with V-Stoptail is a semi-hollow guitar with looks and tone that you would expect from a much more expensive guitar. The G2622 comes fitted with high-output Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers and centre block for maximum tone but with a semi-hollow construction to keep the weight down.

This guitar features the double cut version of Gretsch’s “Center Block” body, which is a laminated maple hollow body with a chambered spruce centre block which cuts down on unwanted feedback whilst maintaining some of the tonal qualities that hollow bodies provide. With a centre block guitar you can get the best of both world with warmer, more resonant tone provided by the hollow sections but you still have the ability to turn the guitar up to maximum sound levels without unwanted feedback.

Gretsch have loaded this guitar with their Broad‚ÄôTron BT-2S humbuckers, designed specifically for the Streamliner Collection. The Broad’Tron pickups are high output with good low, mid, and high-end response and plenty of clarity producing sweet rock tones.
